Programme outline

This programme provides you with the practical skills and knowledge to operate effectively in a manufacturing workshop. The programme includes both theoretical and practical aspects that take place in a manufacturing environment.

There is also an opportunity to learn Cycle Mechanics skills.

Duration

Start dates for this programme are flexible with completion usually achieved within 1 to 2 years.

So - what’s next

The programme is intended for people who wish to pursue a career as a production operative (Level 1) or operative supervisor (Level 2). Accreditation can be gained on a unit basis towards a full qualification, or as a full qualification, in any of the following areas of manufacturing:

• Assembly including cycle components and wood products.
• Packaging.
