This Level 1 programme will develop your personal skills and employability in caring sector. You will investigate the realities of working in health and social care and the skills required. Further units will develop your personal effectiveness and understanding of social responsibility at work and financial management. Optional units include looking after children, images of people, health in the environment and exploring local services.
Duration
Start dates for this programme are flexible with completion usually achieved within 2 years.
You may progress to a Level 2 qualification (BTEC First Certificate/Diploma in Health and Social Care) or focus on a specific area such as Early Years. Alternatively, you might choose to seek employment in a caring sector or move on to a related vocational programme (NVQ).
