BTEC Level 2 First Certificate/Diploma in
Health and Social Care

Programme outline

Your Level 2 programme will allow you to investigate communication, individual rights and individual needs within health and social care sector. Further units will examine
cultural diversity, anatomy and physiology and human lifespan development. You will also have the opportunity to carry out a relevant work placement within a Health & Social Care setting.

Duration

Start dates for this programme are flexible with completion usually achieved within 2 years.

Entry requirements

• BTEC Level 1 Introductory Certificate/Diploma
• An appropriate standard of literacy and numeracy
• 4 GCSEs at a minimum grade D-G
• A good NVQ Level 1 or Level 2 in an associated discipline
• Related work experience

So - what’s next

There are opportunities for progression to a Level 3 independently or with our support in one of our partner colleges. With the help of our Employment and Transition Team you might seek employment in the care sector or move to related vocational programme (NVQ).
