Accommodation

Your residential accommodation at QAC will match your needs and your level of independence. You will be encouraged to become more independent over time and then you might move to a different hostel, or even an independent house.

Everyone has their own room. Most of the hostels are on site but there is also one just five minutes walk away, which is very popular. The College houses are close enough to walk and students live there unsupervised so they are ideal for more mature learners.

You can bring your own TV, games console, hi-fi and computer for your room. Make sure they are insured and that you have a TV licence.

The residential staff are very experienced and offer great support. In one hostel there are waking night staff, in others the staff sleep in. The staff help students organise fun things to do at weekends and in the evenings.

In the summer, hostel barbecues are popular and the long summer evenings are great opportunities to chat and make friends. In the winter the hostels are warm, cosy and friendly, ideal for games, watching TV together or karaoke.
