Level 1 LASER LEAP Award/Certificate/Diploma in Practical Horticulture Skills

Entry Requirements:
•  An Entry Level 3 Certificate or similar Entry Level qualification
•  A willingness to work outdoors
•  An enjoyment of practical work and willingness to work as part of a team

Programme Outline:
This course focuses on the fundamental practical skills in horticulture. You will learn skills such as planting out, preparing ground, identifying weeds and maintaining turf. The course is assessed through practical demonstrations and assignments and takes place at our Umberslade garden centre.

Start dates for this programme are flexible, with completion of the Diploma usually achieved within one or two years.


On successful completion of the Award, you can progress to the Certificate and then Diploma. On completion of the Diploma you could progress to a Level 2 qualification or apprenticeship or gain employment.
