Work Experience Opportunities - Practical Horticulture Skills (LEAP)

Luke watering ground with a hoseLuke, one of our supported interns, completed his placement working at Umberslade Nurseries, an enterprise owned by Queen Alexandra College.

Umberslade Nurseries offers students a unique opportunity to gain work experience in a real working environment, working on horticulture tasks as well as within the Tea Room on site!

During his placement, Luke watered plants, planted seeds and plugs, cleaned pots, tidied and swept greenhouses and poly-tunnels as well as assisted in moving compost and plants around the site. Luke enjoyed his placement and was always keen to go to work, working hard and being polite and helpful to colleagues and customers.
