Dinner in the Dark - Thursday 24th November 2016

24 November 2016

Taking place on Thursday 24th November, in conjunction with The Macdonald Burlington Hotel, this year’s Dinner in the Dark will not only be supporting Queen Alexandra College, but also Muir Maxwell Trust (MMT), and promises to be a fundraising event to remember.

Diners will be plunged into darkness for the duration of their meal, calling on their senses of smell, touch and sound to fully immerse themselves and experience what living with vision impairment can feel like.

Both Queen Alexandra College and MMT support young people with disabilities, helping improve their quality of life and independence whilst raising awareness and reducing stigma around disability. QAC supports people with vision impairment, physical disabilities and learning disabilities, whilst MMT supports young people with severe epilepsy.

QAC have run similar events in the past, but this year’s is different; we’re working with the Macdonald Burlington more closely (they are hosting and catering the event free of charge) to celebrate their 25th anniversary and rise to the challenge to host 25 events across the country in support of MMT and local charities.

Given the celebratory nature and festive timing of the event, we want to make the event bigger and better than it has been before, hoping to attract 100+ diners to don those blindfolds and experience something new, welcome the winter months and have fun! There will be entertainment on the evening including disco, a prize draw and a silent auction.

Book by WEDNESDAY 9th November 2016 to avoid disappointment. For more details and to book your tickets please contact 0121 428 5064 or
