Transport for West Midlands (TfWM)

We are responsible for delivery of public transport in the West Midlands. Our aim is to create a world-class public transport network delivered by a best in class organisation. We represent the seven Metropolitan District Councils of the West Midlands. In partnership with those districts, we work to ensure everyone benefits from an effective and accessible transport system that meets the economic and environmental needs of the region, as well as providing access to jobs, finding innovative ways to help reduce congestion and offering seamless connections for people and goods to home and overseas markets. We manage the English Travel Concessionary Scheme in the West Midlands for those at the age of entitlement, blind and disabled and children. Our many sites include bus stations and Travel Information Centres as well as our main offices at Centro House in Birmingham city centre. We give people more sustainable travel options including cycle routes and storage, maintenance and safe riding courses and security marking. We also promote safe walking routes and how to consider which journeys you could make on foot. We deliver in a complex and dynamic environment, from national transport policy to cleaning bus shelters, and working with key stakeholders.
