QAC Supporters

From individuals to businesses, charitable trusts to foundations, external support is vital in enabling us to continue the great work we do.

Whether it is organising your own fundraising or getting involved in our events, a one off donation, regular financial contributions, or volunteering exercises, businesses can support us in many ways.

And just some of the ways we have welcomed organisations onboard...

DWP staff with QAC studentsBarclays

In October 2013 a team from Barclays brought their MADD initiative to QAC, taking the time to paint our Performing Arts area ready for students' Christmas performances.

Department for Work & Pensions (DWP)

The Community Volunteer Scheme provides DWP staff the opportunity to volunteer for a charity or community organisation within their local community. Since getting involved in the scheme, QAC has hosted events where DWP individuals have come along and interacted with students and other community organisations. A number of teams have volunteered with various activities at the college, including planting day, cake decorating, student sports days and student fairs.

Deloitte staff at QACDeloitte

Staff have hosted their Community Action Day at QAC, with groups taking part in a range of activities including craft workshops, painting and gardening tasks. As part of this the team also did some fundraising and donated a selection of books to the library to expand the poetry section. Staff have also been involved in Team QAC sponsored events including our skydive and the Birmingham half marathon.

After being nominated as office charity in 2010, employees at the Solihull office have raised nearly £4,000 for us through a range of fundraising activities. This has been used to buy a range of equipment to support our students’ educational and recreational needs; in particular a sensory room and dance project. Staff have also volunteered at summer fetes and sports days and taken part in Team QAC sponsored events including London Nightrider and the skydive.

Pertemps staff and QAC students with Archery equipmentPertemps

Following a Give As You Earn (GAYE) donation from Pertemps, the Sport & Recreation department were able to purchase a set of archery equipment which has proved popular with students. So much so they have used it to design and deliver archery workshops to Pertemps managers and staff both here and at their Edgbaston site.

Here’s what some of our Corporate supporters have said about their experiences working with QAC and our students...

Looking ahead, we would love to work with more local businesses and companies, in fundraising activities and team challenge projects. If you would like to know more about how you and your company can be involved, contact Sarah Caldwell on 0121 428 5064 or

Supporters of QAC

On behalf of students and staff at QAC, a big thank you to everyone who support us, from those who donate their time to work with students or sign up to one of our sponsored events, to those who make cash and/or in kind donations of food and equipment – we really appreciate the support.

We would also like to thank all the organisations who have supported us and have helped make a range of projects possible, from providing technology equipment to books, sensory resources and trips.
