Entry 3 / Level 1 / Level 2 / Level 3 LEAP Hub Hospitality
Programme Outline:
Qualifications range from Entry 3 to Level 3.
Level 2 and 3 has a greater focus on employability skills as well as Hospitality focused skills.
LEAP Hub Hospitality is a practical based programme that takes into account the different aspects of the Hospitality industry. This can cover everything from the catering aspects of the industry through to events management and customer service.
Practical elements of the course are taught in our industry standard teaching kitchen as well as an onsite working café environment. Theory such as health and safety, food hygiene and customer service are taught as part of the course to give students a well-rounded understanding of the hospitality industry and potential career pathways.
There is a strong focus on the following skills:
- Catering
- Customer Service
- Front of House
- Housekeeping
- Events co-ordination
Students get to put their practical skills to good use by running cafes and coffee mornings as well as participate in internal and external work placements.
Progression:
On successful completion, progression is likely to be: full/part-time employment, further education, a supported internship or apprenticeship.
