Programme Outline:

LEAP Hub Community is a new programme for 2021/22. The focus of this particular Hub is to give students a wide range of employability skills with the central drive being community based projects, be that the College community or the local community surrounding the College.

There are also links within the course that focus on Health and Social Care and the development of skills that could help our students on the step ladder into a career within this industry pathway. This course is also a stepping stone to the College’s own vocational Health and Social Care programme.

LEAP Hub Community covers the following areas:

  • Community based projects
  • Foundations in Health and Social Care
  • Employability & Work Skills
  • Personal Development and Independence Skills

On successful completion, progression is likely to be: full/part-time employment, further education, a supported internship or progression onto the vocational Health and Social Care programme offered by Queen Alexandra College.
