My name is Hugh Williams and I am proud to have been Principal at QAC since March 2010. Since then, we have seen many changes here at College and we are now able to cater for more students than ever at our campus in Harborne. QAC has a really diverse student profile and we cater for students with a range of abilities and needs.
The thing that sets QAC apart from other Colleges is the wonderful atmosphere that you will pick up on from the moment you step into the reception. People feel instantly that QAC is a friendly, safe and calm environment and one in which our students feel secure.
The key aspect of learning here at QAC, is that all programmes are individualised to each particular student and take full account of our equality, diversity and inclusion principles. A full programme of training and support will be built around the young person which includes pastoral and holistic therapies to further enhance their college life experience.
We also help young people and their families to plan for the end of their time here at QAC and this is something which we consider right at the beginning. In addition to our own Advance2Work and Independence Plus programmes, there are many routes that we can help you to explore.
I would urge you to come and visit QAC for yourselves and discover what we can offer. Visits can be arranged by calling 0121 428 5050.
I look forward to meeting you in the near future
What the students say
I really enjoy my course because it offers me a good mix of theory and practical – it has also allowed me to experience new sports that I have never played before.
