Stargardt's Connected
Stargardt's Connected is the only charity solely focusing on Stargardt's and its work revolves around its mission of "raising awareness, supporting people affected by Stargardt's and seeking a cure". Stargardt's is a rare inherited progressive condition that affects the retina. It causes central vision loss and difficulty with fine detail vision with diagnosis typically happening in childhood and adolescence, although diagnosis can happen in older years. Stargardt's Connected aims to: Raise money for research projects and for support Provide information, practical and emotional support and signposting to relevant organisations We support and connect the community through in person and online events Work with researchers, charities and industry globally to help raise awareness and champion the cause We hold a global community register with the purpose to connect people and stimulate research and help people to participate in research You can sign up to our mailing and find more information including the community register on our website stargardtsconnected.org.uk
