Wales and West Utilities

We are Wales & West Utilities, the gas-emergency and pipeline service across Wales and the south west of England. Every day our skilled and dedicated colleagues do their very best to keep our 7.5 million customers safe and warm, with a gas network they can rely on and a level of service they can trust.  We offer a range of services to support those in need:

Priority Services Register (PSR) referrals – a free service used by utility companies to look after customers who have extra communication, access or safety needs and to prioritise people in the event of a loss of gas/electricity/water supply

Carbon Monoxide (CO) alarms and safety information – making sure that those who are most affected by CO - known as the silent killer – are aware of the dangers

Locking Cooker Valve Installation – a safety device which, once fitted, allows customers to remain independent in their homes

Free of charge gas meter moves – making sure customers are able to access their gas meters easily

 Free gas connections, through our Warm Home Assistance scheme – providing a cheaper and more reliable source of heating versus alternative fossil fuels

Referrals – signposting customers to partner organisations that provide free advice, for example to help with energy debt
