Programme outline:
The OCR Level 2 Cambridge Technical in Art and Design provides practical knowledge and skills needed to work in the creative sector. Students gain an understanding of a range of creative discipline such as painting, textiles, printmaking for instance and supports student to be able to follow a brief, design, research, evaluate and review as part of their programme .These qualifications and units are structured to enable learners to gain qualifications at their own pace and build on their achievements. This qualification is 100% coursework
Learners will also have the opportunity to acquire the essential knowledge and tools for the world of work by developing
Focus: Practical, work-related, creative experience.
Structure: Comprises various units allowing students to explore 3D, textiles, fashion, and fine art.
Content: Students study artists/designers, develop ideas, and produce final, professional-standard, creative outcomes.
Purpose: Prepares learners for employment within the creative sector or further study.

This qualification is suitable for:
Learners studying in preparation for employment in Art and Design
Learners wishing to gain a Level 2 qualification to support further study in Further Education (FE) in Art and Design
Learners wishing to gain a Level 2 qualification to support further study in FE in any other sector or subject area
Equivalent to 2 GCSEs
OCR Level 2 Cambridge Technical Diploma in Art and Design:
This qualification is suitable for:
Learners studying in preparation for employment in Art and Design
Learners wishing to gain a Level 2 qualification to support further study in Further Education (FE) in Art and Design
Learners wishing to gain a Level 2 qualification to support further study in FE in any other sector or subject area
Equivalent to 3 or 4 GCSEs, depending on the specific framework
Focus on core units such as:
