Programme outline
This suite is a practical, vocational qualification designed for post-16 learners seeking to enter the entertainment sector. It provides a comprehensive foundation in both onstage performance and behind-the-scenes technical production.
The course is 100% internally assessed through practical assignments, rehearsal logs, and performance projects marked by the centre.
Performance Skills: Acting techniques, dance, and movement styles.
Production Skills: Stagecraft, lighting design, sound, costume, and production management.
Industry Involvement: Meaningful engagement with employers, such as industry guest speakers, theatre trips, and work-related experience, is a core requirement.

Entry Requirements:

Successful completion may allow progression to a Level 3 programme in Performing Arts or related specialist areas. It also prepares learners for apprenticeships or entry-level industry roles
