Vocational Health and Social Care - OCR Cambridge Technical Level 2

Programme Outline:
The OCR Level 2 Cambridge Technical in Health and Social Care provides practical knowledge and skills needed to work in the health and social care sector. Students gain an understanding of human growth and development, communication, safeguarding, and promoting health and well-being. These qualifications and units are structured to enable learners to gain qualifications at their own pace and build on their achievements.  The Cambridge Technical qualifications offer learners the opportunity for a programme of study to:

  • Prepare for further learning or training
  • Develop essential knowledge, transferable skills and personal skills in a subject area that interests them with the aim of enhancing their employability
  • Move into different areas of employment achieve a nationally recognised vocational qualification.
  • Learners will also have the opportunity to acquire the essential knowledge and tools for the world of work by developing transferable skills such as planning, research and analysis, working with others and effective communication.

 

Entry Requirements:

  • A keen interest in health and social care and working with people.
  • Desirable to have completed a Level 1 programme in Health and Social Care or a related subject.
  • This qualification is assessed through coursework only, with no formal external examinations.
