Vocational Health and Social Care - OCR Cambridge Advanced National Level 3
Programme Outline:
Our Cambridge Advanced National in Health and Social Care (H025 / H125) programme is designed to develop the knowledge, understanding and practical skills needed for progression to undergraduate study and careers within health and social care. The qualification includes a mixture of external examinations and internally assessed coursework.
Certificate in Health and Social Care
This qualification provides a strong foundation in health and social care. Students will explore key topics including:
• Equality, diversity and rights
• Health and safety in care settings
• Person-centred approaches to care
• Mental health
Extended Certificate in Health and Social Care
The Extended Certificate builds on the Certificate and offers a broader and more in-depth understanding of health and social care. In addition to the core topics, students may study:
• Anatomy and physiology
• Long-term physiological conditions
• Public health strategies
• Sexual health
• Nutrition and healthy lifestyles
The Level 3 Extended Certificate qualification is equivalent to one A level and supports progression to higher education when combined with other Level 3 qualifications.
