Vocational Performing Arts Level 1 - Pearson BTEC Introductory in Vocational Studies

Programme outline 

The Level 1 Introductory in Vocational Studies is a coursework-based qualification, designed to give students a broad introduction to a range of areas.  

As this qualification is assessed entirely through coursework, students can build confidence in their abilities at their own pace, without formal exams. It supports progression to Level 2 qualifications in Performing Arts, further study, or potentially entry-level roles in the creative sector. 

It provides practical opportunities to select optional units linked to the Performing Arts sector alongside units that develop key sills in communication and planning for progression by completing projects that reflect real-world scenarios. 

Assessment: 100% internally assessed (coursework and practical tasks). 

Students can aim for Pass, Merit, or Distinction grades.
