SIGHT VILLAGE SHORTLISTED: Lord Mayor of Birmingham's Charity, Business, and Culture Awards
Sight Village, the UK’s leading exhibition for people who are blind or partially sighted, has been shortlisted for two major categories at this year’s Lord Mayor of Birmingham’s Charity, Business, and Culture Awards, taking place on Friday, 17 October at 6:00 PM.
For more than 30 years, Sight Village has been at the heart of the blind and low-vision community, connecting thousands of visitors with the latest assistive technologies, products, and support services. Its continued growth and impact have earned it a shortlisting in:
- Charity Impact Award – Large Enterprise
- Digital Technology Innovation
This recognition reflects Sight Village’s unwavering commitment to empowering people with sight loss to live more independent, connected, and fulfilling lives. It also celebrates decades of innovation, advocacy, and community collaboration that have shaped its lasting legacy.
Representing Sight Village and Queen Alexandra Charity on the night will be Bev Jessop, CEO and Principal of Queen Alexandra Charity and Rose Woodall Sight Village Events Coordinator
"Sight Village is extremely proud to be nominated for two awards and to make it into the final. We are excited to be attending the awards and would like to thank the Lord Mayor, who attended our Sight Village Event in Birmingham, for giving us this opportunity to showcase what we do! "
-Rose Woodall
We extend heartfelt thanks to our sponsors, exhibitors, and visitors, whose ongoing support makes this work possible.
