Celebrating Student Success on Work Placement

Emma has shown significant personal growth over recent months. Although she can sometimes find it challenging to work alongside her peers, she has been an outstanding support to Kianna, who is visually impaired, during their placement at Brockswood Animal Sanctuary. Emma has shown patience, kindness and maturity, helping Kianna to participate confidently in placement activities.

Emma has also demonstrated excellent resilience and determination. She independently secured a work placement at a local stables, but when this unexpectedly fell through, she did not give up. Instead, she proactively found herself another placement at a pet store and dog groomers.

Sarah has supported Emma during the past two weeks to help her settle into the new placement, but it quickly became apparent that this level of support was unnecessary. Emma has excelled from the outset, demonstrating confidence, working tremendously hard, and presenting herself as chatty, friendly and professional. She has embraced every opportunity and has made an excellent impression on the placement staff.

Emma should be incredibly proud of what she has achieved. Her resilience, independence and positive attitude towards work-related learning make her a very deserving candidate for recognition.
