QAC Celebrates Memberships with Get the Nation Learning and AMEY
Queen Alexandra Charity (QAC) is proud to announce that it has joined the Get the Nation Learning campaign, founded by the Learning and Work Institute (L&W). This fast-growing movement provides a platform for organisations committed to championing lifelong learning and building a future which can lead to growth, productivity, resilient communities and fuller and richer lives.

Stephen Evans, Chief Executive, L&W said:
“When adults learn, our society and economy thrive. Growth, productivity, good work, resilient communities, fuller and richer lives. These are just some of the benefits lifelong learning can bring. Despite this, public investment in adult learning has declined dramatically in the last decade. The same is true for employer investment in workplace training, with large inequalities in who accesses learning opportunities. As changes in technology leave us all needing new skills and know-how for life inside and outside of work, levels of learning cannot continue to languish. It’s time to turn the tide. It’s time to get the nation learning. We’re delighted that QAC has joined the movement.”
Supporting the principles of the Get the Nation Learning campaign, QAC has recently celebrated joining AMEY, partnering to deliver a Social Value Day designed to help students develop essential employability skills. Through interactive sessions on communication, networking, CV development and interview preparation, alongside one-to-one mock interviews, students were able to gain practical experience and confidence for their future careers.
Bev Jessop, CEO – Executive Principal at QAC commented: "Lifelong learning is about much more than education. It's about giving people the confidence, skills and opportunities to reach their potential at every stage of life. By joining the Get the Nation Learning campaign, QAC is reaffirming its commitment to championing learning for all. Partnerships like our recent collaboration with AMEY show how businesses and charities can work together to inspire ambition, develop employability skills and create meaningful pathways into the future. We are proud to support this movement and encourage others to get involved."
