QAC Joins Movement to Work

Queen Alexandra Charity has strengthened its commitment to improving employment opportunities for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) by joining Movement to Work.
QAC has become a member of the national Movement to Work network, joining employers, youth organisations and specialist partners working to create accessible pathways into employment for young people facing barriers to work.

Charlotte McGrath, Chief Executive Officer at Movement to Work, said:
"At Movement to Work, we believe that every young person has something uniquely important to offer and they each deserve the support and the chance to participate fully and realise their goals. We also believe that when employers open their doors for young people, both can benefit greatly. That's why we work with employers across the UK to create inclusive, accessible work opportunities for young people who face barriers to work. We are excited that the QAC has joined our network of brilliant organisations who support young people to prepare for and benefit from those opportunities. We look forward to working with the QAC to give more young people with special educational needs and disabilities access to work experiences and roles that help them take positive steps on their individual journey."
Bev Jessop CEO - Executive Principal commented:
"Joining Movement to Work reflects our ongoing commitment to empowering young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities through education, skills development and employability support. Working alongside employers and partners across the network will help us create more opportunities for learners to gain experience, build confidence and progress towards rewarding careers."
